About Silicon Valley Dogs

Our mission

Silicon Valley Dogs was launched in October of 2013. Our mission is to be a resource for all things dog in the Silicon Valley (and beyond)! We know how important your dog is to you and your family. We are committed to sharing useful, interesting, and FUN information with you in order to have the very best possible relationship with your dog. We believe that dogs give back tenfold what we give to them, so a happy dog makes for a happy you, too! Got a question about dogs? Let us know and we will be happy to answer!

Tracey Lee Davis, CTC, CKO

Founder

Meet Tracey Lee Davis, a proud California native whose roots are firmly planted in the heart of Silicon Valley. Although she briefly ventured into the charms of Colorado living for approximately eight years, she couldn't resist the call of her Golden State homeland. While in Colorado, she graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology, complemented by a minor in Zoology.

Tracey's career journey began with her childhood and young adult passion for wild and domestic animals. During this period, she uncovered her innate talent and deep-seated love for dog training. After her Colorado escapade, Tracey returned to the Bay Area in the spring of 2003. Her extensive experience at the Longmont Humane Society and her unwavering commitment to canine training led her to enroll in the prestigious Academy for Dog Trainers, then at the San Francisco SPCA, where she honed her expertise under the guidance of Jean Donaldson.

Upon graduating with honors and earning her Certificate in Training and Counseling, Tracey played a pivotal role in establishing "A DOG'S LIFE," a venture that would become one of the most highly acclaimed and reputable dog services providers in the South Bay Area. Along the way, she achieved recognition as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Kennel Operator (CKO).

As the world of social media exploded onto the scene, Tracey found herself captivated by its potential. She dedicated herself to mastering this new digital realm, attending seminars and training sessions to ensure the business remained a prominent and influential voice in the evolving digital landscape.

In addition to her remarkable journey in the world of dog training, she embarked on a new adventure when she founded ZingPop Social Media in 2014. Driven by her dedication to staying at the forefront of digital marketing, Tracey leveraged her expertise and passion for social media. With the same determination that led her to success in the dog training industry, she established ZingPop Social Media, a thriving digital marketing business known for its innovative strategies and impactful online presence. Under her guidance, ZingPop has become a trusted partner for businesses seeking to navigate the ever-changing landscape of social media and email marketing.

Tracey is also the co-owner of the Women's Networking Alliance, a prominent networking organization dedicated to supporting and empowering women business owners. Her ability to adapt, learn, and excel in multiple fields is a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence. Notably, Tracey has garnered numerous awards and accolades throughout her career, including the Silicon Valley Business Journal's 2022 Silicon Valley Woman of Influence, Alignable's Local Business Person of the Year for San Jose (2018-2023), and a Top 25 U.S. Business Mentor of 2021. She is a proud member of The Pet Professional Guild.
